The goal of ClassiX® is to model companies quickly and to implement new applications at the end user and to realize his change requests. For this purpose an efficient and flexible basic system was developed on which the Cyberenterprise® is based. For the development of the application the language InstantView® and the AppsWarehouse® written in it is used.

The installation of the application includes the creation of an initial database and the loading of basic data. At the same time, the physical layout of the database must be set up, according to which the distribution of objects is determined.

Once the applications are installed, the actual maintenance phase begins. The following tasks must be performed during this phase:

  • Functional changes to the InstantView® code
  • Troubleshooting the InstantView® code
  • User and and access rights management
  • Installing updates of the basic system
  • Upgrade of the database version
  • Outsourcing of old data (archiving)
  • Performance monitoring

The first point is the task of the application developers. Error correction is also the responsibility of the ClassiX® administrator responsible, but can also be partially carried out by the responsible ClassiX® administrator, especially to narrow down the errors as precisely as possible. For all other tasks, the administrator is responsible.

To support the ClassiX® administrator in his tasks, there are tools and "best practice" procedures, which are presented in the following.
